Beach day for Daddy's Birthday

We took a trip down to San Onofre for Bryan's birthday. Peyton and Mommy spent a few hours on the beach while Daddy surfed with Uncle Joey. Two swim team families came too and Peyton had lots of fun. Peyton didn't like the sand at first, but then decided that it was okay to play with.

Mommy and Me Class

Peyton and I just finished 4 weeks of a Mommy and Me class called "Jump, Shout, Get Your Wiggles Out". Peyton was very quiet and observant in all of the classes. She loved the ball pit and the batons. She also loved climbing in tunnels and playing peek-a-boo in them.

Peyton loves the slide :)

Bryan and I took Peyton to the park last weekend. She now says "pease" and points to the slide, telling us that she wants to go again. And she does this over and over....

1st Birthday

We celebrated Peyton's first birthday on November 16th at the Colony Clubhouse. Peyton received many nice gifts and had fun playing with all of them as mom and dad were helping her open them. Family and friends came and we frosted cupcakes. YUM!!

Halloween 2008

Halloween was fun this year. Peyton dressed up as a ladybug. She didn't like walking in her costume!

Summertime

Peyton enjoys the beach... She picks up handfuls of sand and like to throw them behind her back (onto the towel). She is a little scared to put her feet into the water on the shore, but likes to stand there and watch Daddy surf.

First trip to Disneyland!!!!

Mommy and Daddy took Peyton to Disneyland for the first time on Wednesday, August 27th. Peyton didn't love it, so we only stayed a couple of hours. She went on the Winnie the Pooh ride and then saw Pooh himself!! Her favorite thing in Disneyland was the Princess gift shop, she pointed at all the things that she liked (and wanted).

Celebrating her first 4th!

Peyton had a very full day for her first 4th of July. The day started out at GranKathy and Big Papa's house for the neighborhood parade. GranKathy strolled baby around, showing her off to the neighborhood, while Mom, Dad, Auntie Mo and Big Papa watched. Kinda funny. Then it was home for a nap (everyone took naps - Mom and Dad too).
And then we were off to the Colony pool to visit friends and Grandma Lainey and Grandpa Doug. We played there for a while (and it was hot!!!). Grandma and Grandpa had fun walking baby around (and again, more showing off).

Then finally, we went over to the Goodson's house in Costa Mesa, where we had a yummy dinner and watched fireworks. Baby went to bed before the fireworks though, they probably would have scared her.

Well, let me tell you; this kid is a true artist.
Early Monday morning, when the birds start to chirp and the morning sun turns the windows a shade of blue, I am startled awake by my beautiful wife, Kate.
"Bryan, help." was all I heard, in her deeper more serious tone, as if to say....."get your butt in here, we have a problem".
I wobble out of bed and over to Peyton's room. To my surprise, I see Kate holding Peyton, with a giant poop bubble coming out of our little babies pajama bottoms. As I look closer, I notice that our beautiful girl not only pooped herself in the middle of the night, but she decided that she was going to use her own doody as paint and draw a wonderful mural on the side of her crib.
We spent the next 20 min. cleaning and disinfecting, not only the crib, but the finger painting, doody drawing baby herself.
What a way to wake up on a Monday morning.

Peyton is crawling!

Peyton started crawling Friday, the 13th. It was also the day that she turned 7 months old! She is quite a handful now, and is always on the go!
